In order to take advantage of the Backbone Pro's wireless Bluetooth capabilities, the controller's battery must be charged.

Use a USB-C cable to connect your controller to a power source such as a phone power adapter or USB port on your computer. You'll notice an orange LED surrounding the orange Backbone button flash, indicating charging is active. The battery will be fully charged in less than 3 hours and provide up to 40 hours of wireless gameplay. The orange LED will stay lit to indicate a full battery.

You can check the controller's battery life in the Backbone app by going to the Controller Center (group of icons in the top right corner of the home screen). Your phone must be inserted into the Backbone Pro to see these settings.

When the controller is connected to a power source in handheld mode (phone inside the controller), the pass-through charging feature will charge your phone's battery. For super fast charging, you can achieve up to 30W if the phone and charger support this feature.

The Backbone Pro's battery does not function as a power bank, so it cannot be used to charge your phone unless connected to a power source.

*No charging is required when gaming in handheld mode.
