With the Backbone app, you can tweak your Backbone Pro's joystick and trigger deadzones to get just the right amount of control sensitivity.
- First, make sure your phone is inserted in the Backbone Pro controller. Open the Backbone app and go to Settings > Controller > Controller Profiles.
- Press the + button to create a new controller profile and give it a name. If you already have a controller profile created and wish to edit its deadzones, simply choose the profile.
- Select Joystick Deadzones or Trigger Deadzones, depending on which type of control you want to change.
- Adjust the sliders with the controller or your finger to your preferred percentages.
- Press X to save your edits (if you are adjusting them with the controller).
Additional Tips
- Joystick deadzones control how much you have to push the joystick before movement is registered.
- Trigger deadzones control how far you need to pull the trigger before input registers and virtual trigger stops control how soon a full press is detected for precise control.
- You can quickly try out your changes by going to Test joysticks on the Joystick Deadzone screen and Test triggers on the Trigger Deadzone screen.
- Deadzones and trigger stops cannot be changed in the Backbone app while connected to your phone via Bluetooth.
- A Backbone+ subscription is not required to take advantage of the joystick and trigger deadzone features.
