All new users will also automatically receive a free trial of Backbone+ Membership with their purchase of a Backbone controller.
Backbone+ Membership is optional. You can still play games with a Backbone controller. It is recommended you keep the Backbone app for lifetime free firmware updates and to manage your controller with joystick calibration, button testing, and button remapping.
If you decide not to subscribe after your free trial, the app will still automatically install new software updates to the device to help maintain compatibility with future versions as well as give you access to the Backbone controller's info.
