Backbone+ Membership is a premium subscription inside the Backbone app that enhances your Backbone One controller experience. Backbone+ Membership gives players access to:

- Exclusive perks, like free trials to services like Discord Nitro.
- Discounts on future Backbone products & accessories
- Direct messaging and party chat to play with your friends on Backbone.
- Streaming directly to Twitch.
- Play your favorite games on iPad, Mac, and PC with your Backbone.
- Access to the revamped Backbone app, including the trove of new features above as well as future ones.
All new users will also automatically receive a free trial of Backbone+ Membership with their purchase of Backbone One.
Backbone+ Membership is optional. You can still play games with Backbone One. It is recommended you keep the Backbone app for lifetime free firmware updates and to manage your controller with joystick calibration, button testing, and button remapping.
If you decide not to subscribe after your free trial, the app will still automatically install new software updates to the device to help maintain compatibility with future versions as well as give you access to the Backbone One's info.
